Heather joined the Selah House clinical team in 2021 as a Family Therapist. Heather studied and completed her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. Heather went on to obtain her Master of Social Work (MSW) with her focus being mental health and additions.
Her role here at Selah House is Family Therapist working with the adult population. Heather was drawn to Selah house due to her passion for helping those suffering from eating disorders, along with supporting family members and friends who are impacted by the disorder. Her goal is to help the family understand the complexity of eating disorders, repair relationships between the client and family, and assist the family in learning ways to better understand and support one another. Heather is outstanding by her years of experience conducting family sessions, the lengths she will go to advocate for her clients’ needs, and the knowledge she has of the complexity of Eating Disorders, including often treating dual diagnosis. She values Selah House due to the focus being on the individual as a whole and the ability to meet the complex needs of each client. When not at Selah, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, son, family, and friends.
