Melanie Bockover

Director of Nursing

Melanie Bockover Melanie knew she wanted to work in mental health or women’s health, and after college, Selah House offered the best of both worlds. It was her first professional employment and she fell in love with helping clients heal on their journey to recovery, that she could incorporate mental and spiritual health into her nursing care. After three years of working as a staff nurse, Melanie briefly left and then returned to working at Selah, stating that it’s too much like home to work anywhere else. Now as Selah’s Director of Nursing, Melanie oversees the nursing staff, assists with admissions and utilization review, and helps coordinate care between the various clinicians. She continues to work on the floor and also assists in managing daily tasks to keep the houses operating safely and effectively. Clients often say their favorite things about Melanie are her laughter and her hugs. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2015. Born and raised in southeastern Michigan, Melanie relocated to central Indiana for college, where she met her husband Andrew. They now live in Pendleton on a small farm with their chickens, ducks, and cats. She enjoys being a new mom and swimming in the Great Lakes.
