One of the goals of relaxation time is to help relieve stress, which can be increased during activities involving food, after meals, as well as while learning how to manage and process emotions.
As a part of your individual treatment plan, you will have intentional time for rest and relaxation in one of our cozy homes, and outdoors in the tranquil countryside. Our campuses provide access to wooded areas, large pastures, a pond, hammocks in beautiful gardens, and other outdoor living areas.
Selah’s schedule and environment are specifically designed for intentional rest – physically, emotionally, and mentally. Rest can also take place in the form of having fun and retreating together with other residents, through games, group meals, movie nights, and other group activities. Healing is enhanced by relaxation, especially when in a safe and accepting environment.
