Priscilla Moore

Therapist

Priscilla MoorePriscilla joined the Selah House team in March of 2022 as a Therapist. Priscilla received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University (IUPUI) in Psychology and continued her education at Indiana University to get her master’s in social work with a concentration in Mental Health and Addictions. She completed her Clinical Therapy Internship with Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health in Indianapolis, IN, where she provided therapeutic, and case management services to children and adolescents and families with varying mental health disorders. She joins the Selah House team primarily focusing on the care of the adolescent population. Priscilla’s goal for serving the Selah Community is to help clients suffering from Eating Disorders and Dual Diagnosis to have the ability to live their lives in freedom. She wants to empower clients that they are incredibly strong and capable of living a life that is not suppressed by their eating disorder and dual diagnosis. Priscilla’s passion in mental health is rooted in personal experience and caring for loved ones that have endured the pain from mental illness. Specifically, during her program at Indiana University, she knew her passion lied within the mental health community that suffers from Eating Disorders and dual diagnosis. She wants to help clients within the Selah Community live in an unsuppressed life that is not controlled by their Eating Disorders by using modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and the Motivational Interviewing (MI) technique. Her hope in this field is to later work to address the systemic and societal frameworks that continue to manifest the development of eating disorders within the United States and throughout the world.
